Dr. John James is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He earned his
undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah,
and received his Doctor of Medicine from the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at
the University of Utah. He completed his residency training at St. Mark’s Family
Medicine Residency in Salt Lake City.
Originally from Evanston, Wyoming, Dr. James has long considered the Salt Lake City
area his home. He met his wife while attending BYU, and together they are raising their
four children.
Dr. James’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, medical weight loss,
mental health care, and lifestyle medicine. He also has a passion for integrating modern
technology to support efficient, high-quality medical care.
In his free time, Dr. James enjoys frisbee golf, tabletop games, outdoor activities with
his children, and caring for a small pet reptile collection.
